Every year, Slipper Club partners with a non-profit doing amazing work around Texas. Our 2020–2021
beneficiary is Brighter tomorrows.
This year, Slipper Club has selected Folds of Honor - North Texas Chapter as its beneficiary. Folds of Honor has been benefiting the United States military community for nearly 13 years. Since 2007, their mission has been to “provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.
Folds of Honor was founded by Major Dan Rooney after a life-changing experience while witnessing the profound wake left behind after a fallen soldier returned home escorted by his family. Major Rooney pledged to change the future of America’s grieving spouses and children by forming the Folds of Honor Foundation: a 501C-3 nonprofit organization.
Today, Folds of Honor has grown into an inspirational movement that calls many to give back to the loved ones left behind by incredible acts of heroism. They have established 21 chapters across the United States, in hopes of reaching as many families as possible. The simple logo of the folded flag is a constant reminder that reflects Folds of Honor Mission: Honor their sacrifice. Educate their legacy.
This will be the first year the Slipper Club of Dallas is partnering with a military-based nonprofit organization, and we could not be more excited and driven to help this cause.
